Day Program Services
Stars for Life provides structured, year-round day programming for adults (18+) with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Our day program services are designed to support continued learning, independence, life skills development, and meaningful community inclusion in a safe and supportive environment.
Programming operates Monday through Friday, with individual attendance schedules based on each participant’s assessed support level and available funding.
Each participant’s experience is individualized, with goals tailored to their strengths, interests, and support needs.

We support: Individuals with autism who can engage in life skills training with support and routine
Focus: Promoting independence through daily living skills
Includes:Cooking & meal preparation
Cleaning & personal hygiene routines
Budgeting
Time management & personal organization

We Support: Individuals with an interest in gaining skills for work or volunteering who can attend consistently and follow basic routines.
Focus: Preparing clients for supported or competitive employment, or volunteer engagement.
Includes:Volunteer placements with community partners
In-house job skills training
Resume and interview preparation
Vocational exploration activities

We Support: Individuals who enjoy participating in structured leisure activities and are open to trying new experiences.
Focus: Encouraging self-expression, fun, and confidence-building through leisure.
Includes:Art, music, and drama

We Support: Individuals who benefit from structured social learning and are able to engage with peers in a supported setting.
Focus: Building interpersonal skills, relationships, and community awareness.

Focus: Promoting physical and emotional well-being.
Includes:Movement activities (walks, yoga, fitness classes, stretching)

We Support: Individuals who benefit from structured, empathetic support in recognizing, understanding, and managing emotional responses.
Focus: Supporting clients in understanding and managing emotions through autism-informed strategies.
Includes:Support for self-regulation, including tics, stimming, or sensory responses
Helping clients navigate difficult conversations or changes in routine
Coaching in emotional language, self-expression, and social problem-solving
Encouraging and guiding clients to appropriate outside supports when needed

We Support: Individuals who are enrolled in or exploring post-secondary options and would benefit from structured support in managing executive functioning and social aspects.
Focus: Supporting clients in navigating the non-academic challenges of post-secondary life.
Includes:Time management and organization strategies
Support accessing campus resources and accommodations
Social skill-building for group settings and campus life
Communication coaching (emailing professors, self-advocacy, asking for help)
